课程简介：Rossi博士将利用其自身的学术知识及丰富的科学传播经验开展教学。课程将通过不同媒介，包括口头演讲、文字宣传、采访式报道、动画视频等，为学生提供有效的科学交流技能，让年轻学子掌握“讲故事”的技巧，在正式（如学术会议、学术报告）或非正式（如为外行或公众普及知识）等场合，都能用最简易的方式传播科学，让科学产生更广泛的影响。
This course wants to provide to the new generation of scientists the theoretical and practical knowledge that they need to successfully communicate their research to a broad audience and to achieve real impact. The course is structured around Dr. Rossi’s three-time award-winning outreach animated video “Lost at sea” which is presented as a case study. The students will learn about the storytelling and communication principles used in the video and will then apply them first hand. This will happen by initially writing short mini-stories and then by writing a script for a 3-minute long video on a scientific discovery of their own choice. A hands-on part of the course will follow where students will record their own voice-over and create an animated video of their own. After attending this course, the students will be able to turn complex science into a simple and beautiful animation video. This is an invaluable skill that will allow them to stand out from the crowd and achieve real impact. This course will inspire and empower a new generation of media savvy scientists.
