Abstract:
The Endo-symbiotic relationship between coral host and Symbiodiniaceae is the foundation of coral reef ecosystem which has high diversity and productivity. However, this relationship is been threatened by multiple stressors related to anthropogenic activities and global climate change. In this talk, I will share our attempt to uncover the mechanism of this symbiotic relationship and its response to environmental stressors, including development of a new 3D imaging approach to study coral-Symbiodiniaceae interaction; mechanistic study of a subtropical coral bleaching event in Hong Kong waters; and discovery of how coral maintains a tissue-specific Symbiodiniaceae density.
Bio:
刘迟迟，近海海洋环境科学国家重点实验室杰出博士后。已发表论文22篇，其中以第一作者或通讯作者发表SCI论文6篇。目前主要研究兴趣为珊瑚和虫黄藻共生机理以及这一共生关系对环境压力的响应。近年来主持博后基金面上项目一等资助1项。
